Handheld game console maker Anbernic has revealed some of the features of the upcoming Anbernic RG Slide.
We already knew that this was going to be the company's first device with a PSP Go-like design featuring a screen that slides upward to reveal a game controller. Now we know more about that screen… and a bit about what the RG Slide can do.

In a short video posted to YouTube, Anbernic explains that the handheld has a 4.7 inch LTPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels for a 4:3 aspect ratio. It's also a screen that supports 60 Hz, 90 Hz, or 120 Hz refresh rates and up to 500 nits of brightness.
While Anbernic hasn't said anything about the processor, memory, storage, battery, or other features yet, the company demonstrated that the Anbernic RG Slide should be able to handle PS2 and Wii emulation, which means it should have a reasonably fast processor.

It's also shown playing games in portrait orientation as well as landscape, which means that it could be a decent platform for emulating classic arcade games. And the RG Slide is expected to run an Android-based operating system, which means it'll support native Android games like Genshin Impact as well.
The slide-out game controller features dual analog sticks, a D-Pad, and four action buttons, and two more buttons for start, select, or other functions. There also appear to be should buttons that are positioned behind the screen when the game controller is extended. And the video shows that there's also a 3.5mm jack on the bottom of the RG Slide for a headphone.
More details (including price) should be revealed closer to launch.
