The OnePlus Pad 3 is an Android tablet with the processor of a flagship-class phone, a laptop-sized screen, and plenty of memory and storage. It's both the company's most powerful tablet to date…. and the most expensive.

But with prices starting at $700 during pre-orders, the OnePlus Pad 3 is still cheaper than the most affordable iPad Pro ($999), or Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ ($1000).

And while the new OnePlus Pad 3 is a little heavier than its predecessors, it's actually the company's thinnest flagship tablet to date despite having a much larger battery.

The $700 starting price is for a model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage… which is the only model currently available in the US. Customers in Europe can pay extra for up to a 16GB/512GB configuration.

Folks who pre-order can also throw in a OnePlus Pad 3 Smart Keyboard and Folio case for no additional charge. After the promotion ends, those are expected to sell for $200 and $50, respectively.

The tablet has an aluminum unibody chassis with a storm blue back, support for a OnePlus Stylo 2 digital pen with 16,000 levels of pressure sensitivity, haptic feedback, and a laser pointer feature with page turn functionality. The pen is not included in the base price of the tablet though – it sells for $100.

Here's an overview of how the new model stacks up against the original OnePlus Pad and OnePlus Pad 2:
