Tank 4 Pro smartphone has a 6.7 inch AMOLED display and a built-in 720p projector

The 8849 Tank line of smartphones are rugged devices meant for off-grid use. They have rugged designs, extra-large batteries, super-bright camp lights on the back, and sometimes special features… like a built-in projector.

The newest model is the Tank Pro 4, which has a faster processor and a higher resolution projector than the previous-generation Tank 3 Pro. It's also the first of 8849's projector phones to feature an AMOLED display. And it's a little smaller and lighter than its predecessor… but that's because it has about half the battery capacity.

With an 11,600 mAh battery and support for 120W fast charging, you should still be able to get extra-long battery life from this phone when you're doing pretty much anything other than using the projector.

The Tank 4 Pro has a 6.73 inch, 3200 x 1440 pixel AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor, and the phone features LPDDR5x-4266 memory and UFS 4.0 storage.

8849 is taking pre-orders for two configurations, both of which should begin shipping to customers later in June:

16GB/512GB for $650 (marked down from $800 during pre-order)

18GB/1TB for $700 (marked down from a $900 list price)

Meanwhile the Tank 3 Pro is still available for $600 and up.
