The Bluefox NX1 is a budget smartphone with something you don't see very often on other modern phones: a small screen. It has a 4 inch, 1168 x 540 pixel IPS LCD display and a body that measures 100.6 x 39.4 x 12.5mm and weighs just 106 grams, making it smaller and lighter than most phones on the market today.
After launching in China earlier this year, the Bluefox NX1 is now available for pre-order from Aiphor for $99 and up.
The starting price is for a model with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. There's also an 8GB/128GB version available for $129. And the phone has a microSD card reader that supports up to 2TB of removable storage.
Both models are powered by a MediaTek Helio G81 processor with 2 ARM Cortex-A75 CPU cores, 6 Cortex-A55 cores, and Mali-G52 graphics.
The phone features a 3,000 mAh battery, a 5MP front-facing camera, and a 48MP Omnivision OV48B rear camera – Bluefox had initially used a 21MP Sony IMX230 camera for the Chinese version of the phone, but it's been changed for the global market.
Other features include a USB 2.0 Type-C port and an infrared feature that lets you use the phone as a remote control, which is a feature you don't see on phones much anymore. The NX1 supports for WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0, as well as 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE (but not 5G) networks:
The Bluefox NX1 ships with Android 15 and comes in black, white, or blue color options. The phone has a plastic frame and a matte glass back.
