JEDEC, the organization that sets standards for computer memory, has released the LPDDR6 standard that should bring faster memory with lower power consumption to upcoming computers. This week Google launched a new Android Canary channel that lets users test early access features, and the first build brings a new way to use split screen multitasking. And Samsung's first tri-fold smartphone could launch later this year.

The first Android Canary build brings an update to Split Screen mode that lets one app take up 90% of the screen while another takes 10%. Previously you could only do a 50/50 or 70/30 split. www.androidauthority.com/android-cana…
