GEEKOM has put the A9 Max up for sale for $999. The AMD Ryzen AI9 HX 370-powered mini PC is shipping from a U.S. warehouse and arriving within 2 to 5 days.
The A9 Max was announced back in January at CES. Nothing appears to have changed since then in terms of the system's hardware.
It's powered by AMD's popular 12-core / 24-thread processor that features the 50 TOPS XDNA 2 neural engine. The default configuration comes with 32GB of DDR5 and 2TB of M.2 storage.
Memory can be expanded up to 128GB to support heavier workloads. There's also an available M.2 2230 slot for another drive or PCIe device.
GEEKOM certainly didn't skimp when it came to ports on the A9 Max. On the front there are 4 USB 3.2 ports and a headphone jack.
Around back you'll find another USB 3.2 port, a USB 2.0 port and a pair of USB 4.0 ports. Both of those support DisplayPort and one can be used to power the system via USB PD.
There are also two HDMI ports and up to four monitors are supported. On the networking side the A9 Max packs 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports and WiFi 7.
Heat won't be a problem even under intense local AI workloads. GEEKOM claims that its IceBlast 2.0 system is 52% more efficient than "standard cooling systems."
Everything is tucked into a 135 x 132 x 47mm (5.3″ x 5.2″ x 1.9″) metal chassis. A Kensington slot lets you lock things down in case you're concerned about someone walking off with your pint-sized powerhouse.
Windows 11 Pro comes preinstalled and GEEKOM provides 3 years of warranty coverage and 24/7 customer service.
