Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite leaks point to a cheaper 10 inch tablet

Samsung's Android tablets are largely divided into the Galaxy Tab S line of premium devices and Galaxy Tab A line of budget devices. But every few years the company puts out a cheaper Galaxy S series device that offers some premium features like an S Pen while cutting some corners to keep the prices low.

And now it looks like the company could be preparing to do that again with a new Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite.

Rumors about this tablet have been making the rounds for a little while, and last week a listing for the tablet was spotted at the Bluetooth SIG website. Now Xpertpick found a listing for the tablet in the Google Play Console that includes a picture and some specs for the upcoming tablet.

The Galaxy S10 Lite is expected to have a 10.4 inch, 2112 x 1320 pixel display, a Samsung Exynos 1380 processor, and 6GB of RAM. It'll ship with Android 15. And that's about all we know for certain at this point.

Those features would make it a little smaller than any other member of the Galaxy Tab S10 series. The processor is also significantly less powerful and the tablet has half the RAM of other models.

So it seems like a safe bet that Samsung will position this as a budget model for folks looking for something cheaper than a Galaxy Tab S10 FE (which has a list price that starts at $500, although it's currently on sale for $450).

Keep in mind that there are some things we don't know yet. It's unclear exactly how much the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite will cost, when it will be available, how much storage it has, what kind of battery powers the tablet, or what its water resistance rating will be.

It's also not clear from the Play Console listing whether it'll have S-Pen support, although I'd be surprised if it didn't, since the specs above would make more sense in a Galaxy Tab A-series tablet unless there was a special feature like stylus support to set this tablet apart.

Update: Rumor has it that the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite will come in WiFi-only or 5G models, both of which will be available with either 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage or 8GB and 256GB.
