Mini PC maker GEEKOM unveils a pair of Intel Arrow Lake laptops

GEEKOM is a Chinese PC maker that specializes in small desktop computers. But the company has branched out occasionally – a few years ago GEEKOM partnered with Intel to launch a gaming laptop called the BookFun 11. And at the IFA show in Germany last week, GEEKOM introduced two new laptops powered by Intel Arrow Lake processors.

The GEEKOM GeekBook X14 Pro is a 1kg (2.2 pound) notebook with a 14 inch, 2880 x 1800 pixel OLED display, while the GeekBook X16 Pro is a 1.3kg (2.9 pound) model with a 16 inch, 2560 x 1600 pixel IPS LCD display.

Both models will be available with a choice of Intel Core Ultra 5 225H or Core Ultra 9 285H processor options, up to 32GB of LPDDR5-7500 memory, and up to a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.

While the RAM is not user-replaceable, the SSD fits into an M.2 2280 slot, so it can be removed and replaced. There's also an M.2 2230 slot that could be used for additional storage.

Despite the size difference, the laptops largely feature the same specs. Both models feature a magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis. Both have 2MP webcams, stereo speakers with DTS:X ultra sound, support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, and backlit keyboards with a fingerprint sensor integrated in the power button. And both come with a 65 Wh GaN USB-C power adapter.

There are a few differences though. The 16 inch model has a slightly larger battery, a keyboard with a number pad, and a few additional ports.

GEEKOM hasn't announced pricing or availability yet, but NotebookCheck snapped some pictures of the laptops at IFA and ChinaMobileMag and heyup have shared more detailed spec sheets.
