Murena is a company that sells smartphones and tablets loaded with /e/OS, an open source, Android-based operating system that's been stripped of Google apps and services. But most of the Murena devices you can buy are actually existing products like Fairphone or Google Pixel devices that have had their default operating systems replaced.
A few years ago the company did introduce a branded phone called the Murena 2, but the company says that after hearing from users that they wanted a model with better specs, Murena stopped selling that device and is now introducing a new HIROH phone powered by Murena, which is expected to be a high-end phone that will begin shipping to customers in January or February, 2026.

The phone features a 6.67 inch, 2712 x 1220 pixel, 120 Hz AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor with four ARM Cortx-A715 CPU cores, four ARM Cortex-A510 cores, and Mali-G615 MC6 graphics, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage.
Unlike most modern flagship phones, there's also a microSD card reader with support for cards up to 2TB. Another unusual feature are two privacy "kill switch" buttons:

Other features include a 5,000 mAh battery and support for 33W fast charging, a metal frame and a body that's rated IP54 for water and dust resistance, support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, and a camera system that includes a 108MP primary camera, 13MP ultrawide camera, and a macro camera. There's also a 32MP front facing camera.
It will ship with a version of /e/OS based on Android 16 and should receive at least 5 years of software and security updates.
The HIROH phone is expected to have an €1199 retail price, but folks who pre-order one now for €99 will get a coupon good for €299 off the retail price, bringing the full cost down to €899.
