Earlier this year Asus introduced a mini PC called the ExpertCenter PN54 with support for up to an AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 Krackan Point processor. Now the company is adding a new model called the ExpertCenter PN54-S1 to the family.
The two computers are the same shape and size and have the same set of ports. The key difference is that the new model is powered by a Ryzen 200 Hawk Point processor, which means it should be a little cheaper.

That's because Ryzen 200 chips are based on older architecture – they use AMD Zen 4 CPU architecture instead of the Zen 5 technology used in Ryzen AI 300 chips. They have RDNA 3 graphics instead of RDNA 3.5. And the NPUs are also less powerful.
That said, if you don't need the latest GPU and NPU features, a computer with an AMD Ryzen 7 260 processor may actually offer better CPU performance than one with a Ryzen AI 7 350 chip in some situations.
Asus says the ExpertCenter PN54-S1 will be available with a choice of 28-watt AMD Ryzen 3 210 or Ryzen 5 220 chips or a 45 watt Ryzen 7 260 processor.
All models measure 130 x 130 x 34mm (5.1″ x 5.1″ x 1.3″) and feature two SODIMM slots for up to 64GB of total DDR5-5600 memory and two M.2 2280 slots for PCIe 4.0 x4 storage. There's support for one of two wireless cards: MT7922 (WiFi 6E + BT5.4) or MT7925 (WiFi 7 + BT 5.4).

Ports include:

The system comes with a 120W power adapter. One thing it doesn't have? An SD card reader. And while the Asus ExpertCenter PN54 has a dedicated Copilot button, the PN54-S1 does not (presumably because it doesn't have a 40+ TOPS NPU, which means it doesn't qualify as a Microsoft Copilot+ PC).
Some things it does hav e that would have made it unusual a few years ago (but less so in 2025)? A fingerprint sensor, and a built-in microphone and mono speaker. It looks like the company kept those feature that let you speak with a virtual assistant (or make voice calls) even though it removed the Copilot key.
