Walmart makes some of the cheapest Google TV media streamers worth buying, including the $20 Onn FHD Streaming Stick. But up until now, if you’ve wanted a 4K-ready model, you’ve had to opt for a “box” shaped model like the $25 Onn 4K media streaming box, $40 Onn 4K Plus box, and $45 Onn 4K Pro.

Now Walmart is preparing to launch its first Onn 4K media streamer that comes as a stick that plugs directly into an HDMI port on your TV. In fact, at least one Walmart store already put the new Onn 4K Streaming Device (stick) on a shelf and sold it to a customer for $30.

Redditor /u/JustLook361 picked up Walmart’s new streaming stick from a store in Texas and shared some pictures of the box, confirming that it’s a TV stick with an HDMI port on one end, an LED status light, and rounded edges.

It comes with an AC power adapter, a 30cm (11.8 inch) HDMI extender cable, and a remote control that features button and voice controls and runs on two AAA batteries.

The streaming stick is said to have “improved processing power” thanks to a quad-core Arm Cortex-A55 processor with Mali-G57 graphics. It also features 2GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and support for WiFi 5.

In addition to support for 4K video, the device is said to support Dolby Atmos sound and works with Google Cast.

That’s all in keeping with recently leaked details suggesting that the stick would feature Google TV software based on Android 14 and a Realtek RTD1325 processor.
