MINISFORUM introduced the M2 Pro mini PC during CES in January, promising that the little computer would be available with up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor with discrete-class Intel Arc B390 integrated graphics.
Five months later, that model’s still not available for purchase yet. But MINISFORUM is now selling an entry-level MINISFORUM M2 (non-pro). This model has a much less exciting Intel Core Ultra 7 356H Panther Lake chip. It’s not a bad processor by any means. It’s just a little more run of the mill. On the bright side, it’s a lot cheaper: the MINISFORUM M2 is now available for $575 and up.
Keep in mind that the starting price is for a barebones model with no memory, storage, or operating system. Because it’s 2026 and RAM and storage are both astronomically expensive, it’s unsurprising to see that the a system configured with 32GB of memory, a 1TB SSD and Windows 11 costs nearly twice as much ($1039 at time of publication).
At the heart of this model is a 45-watt Intel Core Ultra 7 356H 16-core processor with 4-core Intel Graphics and an NPU that delivers up to 50 TOPS of on-device AI processing performance.
The mini PC measures 130 x 127 x 50mm (5.1″ x 5″ x 2″) and if you open the case you’ll find two SODIMM slots with support for DDR5-5600 memory and two M.2 2280 slots with support for PCIe 4.0 x4 storage. There’s also an M.2 2230 slot populated by an Intel BE200 wireless card with support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 and there are also dual heat pipes, a fan for cooling.
