Dell 14 Plus is an Intel Lunar Lake laptop that picks up where the Inspiron 14 Plus left off

The Dell 14 Plus and Dell 14 Plus 2-in-1 laptops are now available, with starting prices of $1100 and $1050, respectively. Both feature Intel Lunar Lake processors and 14-inch displays; however, the 2-in-1 model offers a convertible touchscreen, while the Dell 14 Plus is a clamshell design providing a wider array of configuration options.

Dell positions these as mid-range systems, intended as successors to the Inspiron 14 Plus line, reflecting a comprehensive rebranding initiative launched earlier this year.

The Dell Premium laptop, the anticipated successor to the popular XPS line of thin, light, and premium notebooks, is not yet publicly announced. Currently, the Dell Plus represents the pinnacle of Dell's consumer laptop offerings.

The Dell 14 Plus is a 1.55kg (3.42 pound) laptop that measures 314 x 226 x 17mm (12.4″ x 8.9″ x 0.67″). It has a 64 Wh battery and comes with a 65 watt USB-C power adapter.

Entry-level models feature an Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor, 16GB of LPDDR5x-8533 memory, a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD, and a 14 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel IPS LCD touchscreen display. But Dell says the laptop can also be configured with up to a Core Ultra 9 288V processor, 32GB of RAM, 2TB of storage, and a 2560 x 1600 pixel touchscreen display.

Ports include Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C and Type-A, HDMI 2.1, and 3.5mm audio and the laptop supports Intel AX211 (WiFi 6E) or BE201 (WiFi 7) wireless cards. Other features include a backlit spill-resistant keyboard, an FHD webcam (with an optional IR camera), and an optional fingerprint sensor.

The Dell 14 Plus 2-in-1 features a standard 1920 x 1200 pixel display and Intel BE201 wireless card. While port, memory, and storage options are comparable, this convertible notebook has a slightly higher starting weight of 1.61 kg (3.55 pounds).
