Zotac ZBOX CI675 nano is a fanless mini PC with Intel Arrow Lake-U

As expected, Zotac showcased some of its newest mini PCs at Computex last week including the latest version of the Zotac ZBOX CI600 series fanless computer lineup. While these computers aren't quite as small as some other mini PCs, I've found that they typically use the extra space to provide more than enough passive cooling performance to allow mobile processors to run at full speed without the need for noisy fans.

The newest model is the ZBOX CI675 nano which looks a lot like the CI660 nano that I reviewed way back in 2018. But the new model features up to date hardware inside including an Intel Core Ultra 7 255U Arrow Lake processor, support for up to 64GB of DDR5-5600 memory, and support for PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage

The processor isn't exactly Intel's highest-performance Core Ultra 200 Series chip – it's a 15-watt, 12-core, 14-thread processor with two Performance Cores, eight Efficiency cores, and two Low-Power Efficiency cores. But that probably makes it a better choice for a passively cooled computer than a more power-hungry processor like the 28-watt Core Ultra 7 255H.

Inside the case here are two SODIMM slots for memory and two M.2 2280 slots, each with support for PCIe 4.0 x4 or SATA SSDs.

Ports include:

  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C
  • 4 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
  • 1 x USB 2.;0 Type-A
  • 1 x Gigabit Ethernet
  • 1 x HDMI 2.0b
  • 2 x DisplayPort 1.4
  • The computer also supports WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. While I haven't seen exact dimensions for the new model yet, it's said to have a 1.79 liter chassis, which would make it a little larger than the previous-gen ZBOX CI671 nano (which has a 1.8 liter chassis and measures 204 x 129 x 68mm (8.03″ x 5.08″ x 2.68″).

There's also a new ZOTAC ZBOX CI655 nano model with an Intel Core Ultra 5 Arrow Lake-U processor.
