AYN Odin 3 is a handheld game console with an AMOLED display and Snapdragon 8 Elite processor

The AYN Odin 3 is an upcoming handheld game console with a 6 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel , 120 Hz AMOLED display positioned between a pair of game controllers and the kind of performance you'd expect from a flagship phone thanks to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

AYN hasn't announced how much the Odin 3 will cost or when you'll be able to buy one yet. But it looks like it should bring a few significant upgrades over the company's previous-gen Android handhelds.

For example the original AYN Odin 2 that launched in 2023 features a 6 inch IPS LCD display with a 60 Hz refresh rate and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. And while AYN did later introduce the AYN Odin 2 Portal with a 7 inch, 120 Hz AMOLED display, that model has the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

Another change? At 390 grams, the new model lighter than either of those models, despite featuring the same 8,000 mAh battery.

More details about memory, storage, ports, sensors, and other information should be revealed soon – AYN has been slowly providing tidbits about the Odin 3 since last week. But the latest promotional image gives us a better look at the handheld which seems to at least have a USB-C port, headset jack, and what looks like a microSD card reader. It's unclear whether there's a dedicated HDMI output.
