Abxylute has been selling handheld game consoles for the past few years, but the company has also branched out by selling game controllers and other accessories. And this summer abxylute introduced an unusual smartphone game controller that snaps magnetically to the back of your phone to turn it into a T-shaped gaming device. Imagine a mix between a vertical console like a Game Boy and a widescreen model like a PSP. Or just picture an LG Wing dual-screen smartphone.
Now the company is running a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for that controller. The abxylute M4 controller is expected to ship in December to backers who pay $39 or more. It's expected to sell for $49 after the campaign ends.

The compact game controller features dual analog sticks, a D-Pad, action buttons, and four shoulder keys, among other features. It has a 300 mAh battery that provides up to 12 hours of active game play time. And the controller pairs with a phone over a Bluetooth 5.3 connection.
Designed to snap to any iPhone with Apple's MagSafe system (or Android phones with a similar magnetic design), the phone can also be used with just about any smartphone thanks to a "magnetic adhesive ring" that comes in the box. Basically you can stick this on the back of your phone to give the controller something to cling to.
The magnets are designed to be sturd y enough to hold the controller in place while you're using it, but not so strong that you can't easily detach the phone, making this a pretty portable solution – the controller measures just 75 x 70 x 15mm (3″ x 2.8″ x 0.6″) and weighs just 56 grams (2 ounces), so it won't add much heft to your bag.
It comes in black, white, and orange color options, but there are also stretch goals for models with a Nintendo GameCube-like color scheme or a transparent purple body.
