The Lenovo Legion Y70 is a gaming phone that doesn’t really look like a gaming phone. There’s no RGB lighting and the phone lacks some of the features you might expect like dual USB ports, a microSD card reader, or headphone jack. But it does have an advanced cooling system and a massive battery.
With a 6.8 inch, 144 Hz LTPO OLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, up to 16GB of LPDDR5x-9600 memory, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, the phone should also offer strong performance. The Legion Y70 debuted in China earlier this month, but there’s no word on if or when it will be available in other markets.

With an 8,000 mAh battery, the phone should offer long battery life during extended gaming sessions, or up to two days of run time during normal use. And with support for 90W fast charging, it shouldn’t take long to refuel that battery if it runs low.
Lenovo also equips the phone with a 5500mm² vapor chamber, 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization, am 8MP ultrawide camera, a 32MP front-facing camera, and a body that’s rated IP69 for water and dust resistance.
The Legion Y70 measures 164 x 77 x 8mm and weighs 224 grams and the phone has a display that supports up to 7,000 nits peak brightness, a gyroscope with a 500 Hz polling rate for quick responsiveness while playing games with motion controls, and dual SIM support for 5G networks.
Prices in China start at about $450 for a model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Models with 16GB of RAM start around $600 and come with 512GB or 1TB of storage.
